Hello Fellow Artists! THE CLASS SOLD OUT IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS! We will be adding another section so please click on the links for updates!
Since Covid 19 I have been doing teaching on Zoom since we can not meet in person. I thought it would be uncomfortable and not effective but……………….I WAS WRONG! It is a breathe of fresh air to connect with like-minded, nature loving artists in this intimate and totally safe environment. I am super excited to announce I will be offering LIVE ZOOM workshops starting in January 2021. The plan is to do 1 per month. For the first workshop we are going to tackle a Metallic Shiny GREEN Beetle. Learn to paint iridescence with watercolor, colored pencil, watercolor pencils or a combination! A full description of course content and payment can be found HERE.
I am limiting the class to 20 participants so if you are interested you need to sign up quickly. As soon as you are registered, I will send you TONS of GREAT BEETLE STUFF to get you excited and prepared for January.
I hope you have a Wonderful, Healthy, Merry and Creative holiday season!
Let’s have a wonderful NEW YEAR………Drawing the Beauty of Nature!
Will this be a taped class, I am very interested but because I am in a different time zone (Australia) I will not be able to sign in to the class at the time it is run.
Hi Christina- Yes. It will be recorded and available…. I see you already signed up! ~Mindy
Hey Mindy,
Because I was reading one of your blogs a few months back, I saw where you had done a workshop with the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators – Carolinas Chapter. I did not know there was a guild and signed up as a member. I plan to depicting the Flying School in their next show for the Longleaf Pine eco-system.
I did the bettle on rocks in your last video class about using watercolor pencils and colored pencils for shine. Looking forward to trying again on a more isolated insect in this new video.
Meant on my email “Flying Squirrel” “not school” and beetles not bettle.
Wish there was an edit button on the Comments section! I also hope to put some of my sketchbook pages from the Costa Rica Workshop trip several years back on their website.
LOL! I knew what you meant!
Hi Patty- Yes! I taught a workshop for the GNS-Carolinas. It was super fun and got me to do more of these! See you on ZOOM! ~Mindy
Oh Wow Mindy! Both zoom classes look very exciting – Will you be offering them as a regular online class? I would take them in a heartbeat.
Hi Linda- I am planning on doing more of these classes. The Zoom classes will eventually be offered in Full-time videos. Stay tuned! ~Mindy
