As the days are shorter, sunlight can be an issue for an artists working in the studio. It would be awesome if all our studios had great lighting, but such is not the case for most……. and it is never 24/7 unless you live in Alaska…… and only then……. it is for a few months of the year.
The top reasons you should have natural light while you work are to:
- Reduce eye strain
- Help you see colors more accurately
- Add a consistent and soft light that is never harsh or glaring
- See details you will miss in poor lighting
I took a screen shot from Amazon.com showing the different models of Ott-Lites offered to produce natural lighting options in your studio. I have a floor model, as well as a portable table top model. I use them all the time and highly recommend you get one.
