Spectacled Owlet

Spectacled Owlet – Pulsatrix perspicillata

The Spectacled Owl has a dark face with contrasting ‘spectacles’ made up of white eyebrows and other white streaks between the eyes and cheeks. They are mostly nocturnal, with activity beginning after dusk and continuing to dawn. This little guy is a baby Owl or Owlet and has not molted into his adult feathers. His name is Latek and he was brought to the Toucan Rescue Ranch after being found on the ground. Often baby owls will be found on the ground during the time of learning to fly. Latek was cared for and released back into the wild. Yay!

This is an original painting unframed on #140 lb Lanaquarelle Coldpress watercolor paper using watercolor, gouache and colored pencil. It measures 7” x 9” unframed and signed by the artist. Price includes free shipping in the continental USA. Contact Mindy for shipping outside the USA.
