Symbiotic Slumber

🌿 Symbiotic Slumber

Fine Art Print by Mindy Lighthipe

In “Symbiotic Slumber,” Mindy Lighthipe beautifully captures the quiet grace of a three-fingered sloth resting among the lush rainforest leaves. Look closely and you’ll discover tiny companions nestled in its fur — the sloth moths. These small insects share a fascinating, mutually beneficial relationship with their host: the moths live in the sloth’s fur, feeding on the algae that grows there, while their presence helps enrich the ecosystem around the sloth, completing a delicate cycle of life and renewal in the canopy.

Printed with eco-friendly inks on Red River Polar paper, every 8″ x 8″ image is mounted in a 12″ x 12″ white mat, hand-signed by the artist, and ready to frame.
Proceeds from each sale support sloth conservation and rainforest restoration efforts in Costa Rica, helping to protect these remarkable animals and the ecosystems they sustain.
