Every once in a while I receive a video from someone that blows me away. Here is a beautiful video from a new exciting book that is coming out from Timber Press called Seeing Trees. It shows how the author and photographer work together to show the secrets that trees do not show at first glance. Many people claim that photography will replace traditional botanical art painting. This book may challenge that claim. I for one am not concerned. I believe there is room for all kinds of creativity. What do you think?

B &N doesn't have the book in yet and we are traveling so can't order it but I will want to add this to my library. So glad you are in Gainesville and hope you will start classes at the southern Studio 16 soon. Welcome to Florida.

I love that he was so inspired by botanical art, and that he had to use complicated camera techniques to attain the same level of detail (and focus) that botanical art offers.
